04/16/21 – April, 2021 – The Norwood project has now been shovel-ready for months, after a tremendous effort by our board and professional team in 2020 – accomplished entirely with private dollars. At present, we remain temporarily delayed, awaiting a response by PARD Legal and Management to our finalized Phasing & Funding plan. The contract for upcoming Phase 2 Construction, which would restore the exterior of the house and provide new site access infrastructure, has been carefully crafted to fit within currently available public & private funding. Accordingly, we are anxious to be underway with construction at the site as soon as possible. We must never forget: this precious, irreplaceable historic asset is vulnerable, and deteriorates every day that it’s not being restored. Time for a new lease on life, serving everyone in Austin!
