12/01/20 – December, 2020 – At long last, we reached the holy grail of “shovel ready” for the Norwood project last month. Permitting has wrapped up, construction documents are done, and it’s time to start restoration at the site! We are now in talks with PARD to fine-tune the phasing and create an initial construction contract, accessing the $3m in public funds our org secured in 2018. This is complicated and is made even more difficult thanks to the pandemic. We hope the true spirit of our partnership with the City will prevail and enable us to start work on the very vulnerable Norwood House soon; this precious bungalow has waited long enough.
