Week of September 23, 2013

2013/9/25 10:09:32

Weeks of 9/23 & 9/30/13 – The Norwood design team had a good meeting on 9/23, with representation from the architects, PARD, our contractor & the NPF board. We’re getting more answers on many fronts and working our way towards final drawings & budget. There are lots of steps towards the building permit & the Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Commission. We are hopeful that because Phase I of the Norwood restoration is focused solely on abatement & stabilization of the structure, we may be eligible for some more-streamlined processes than what will be needed for Phase II. This would allow us to address the urgency of the situation, and begin work sooner rather than later. Right now, it’s all about repair & maintenance of a precious 1920s bungalow that has gone without TLC for, oh…about 3 decades now. Hang in there, Norcliff! Cavalry’s coming.
