Week of March 10, 2014

2014/3/10 22:45:13

Week of 03/10/14 – Happy to report that our meeting last week with the City of Austin regarding “remediation with intent to renovate” (which we previously, mistakenly, referred to as environmental abatement – who knew?) went very well. Our careful plan was approved with a few tweaks and is moving forward into its final format right now. With a little luck, we’ll be bidding the work soon and starting the cleanup.

We’re beginning to think about possible museum aspects for the Norwood House as we finalize the floor plan; sharing the history of the bungalow and the influence of the Arts & Crafts movement on American residential design is part of our mission. How will we accomplish this inside the house when we’re not renting it for events? This is our challenge. More fun stuff on the Norwood journey.
