Week of January 6, 2014

2014/1/5 1:23:00

Week of 01/06/14 – Happy New Year! to all our visitors. 2014 is going to be a big year for the Norwood bungalow – it will be the year we save the house. It’s true we’ve been stymied lately by the very complicated process of “toxic abatement of public property,” but eventually that will resolve. Paint samples were taken recently and we should have news from the lab very soon. That will allow us to finally determine the cost of abatement so we can move forward with the cleanup and other work at the site. In the meantime, our architects & engineers have been in the house recently, determining how best to shore up our little diamond in the rough ahead of its coming transformation. And we’re continuing to work on the design of the future floor plan – the fun stuff.

Since our last blog entry, we also have a happy announcement: the board of NPF has elected a new Director, Charles Di Piazza, Architect. Charles brings great skills and passion to the project and is taking the lead on a future competition for design of the Norwood landscape. We’re delighted he’s joining us; welcome, Charles!
